Southall Travel moves up the rankings in Sunday Times Top Track 250
Southall Travel Group is the UK’s highest ranked privately-owned travel agency and tour operator in the 2018 Sunday Times Top Track 250.
The company has climbed from 18th to 11th in the 2018 list, which ranks Britain’s private mid-market companies by sales.
During the past financial year, the travel company’s turnover grew by £44 million from £563 million to £607 million.
Sales director Jaymin Borkhatria said: “To rise from position 18 last year to 11 this year is a fantastic achievement by the entire team here at Southall Travel and we are all absolutely thrilled.
“This accolade demonstrates that our business continues to grow at a rapid rate and I am very grateful to our suppliers with whom we have very strong relationships and to our loyal customers who continue to enjoy our fantastic products and services.”
The travel company, which has appeared in seven of the last eight Top Track 250 awards and was ranked 18th in 2017, has risen seven places this year from last.
Travel Counsellors has also climbed the rankings this year, securing a position of number 121 in the latest edition, up 125 in 2017.
Budget hotel chain Travelodge is eighth in the list, Hays Travel has entered at 61, while Click Travel is at 134.
Other travel companies in the list are Audley Travel, Riviera Travel, Leisure Pass, Rocco Forte Hotels, Village Hotels, Edinburgh Airport, Birmingham Airport, Big Bus Tours and Trainline.
