Ethiopian Airlines announces route changes to LA and Dublin

Ethiopian Airlines has announced that it has changed its long-haul route from Addis Ababa to Los Angeles (LA) to transit through Lome, Togo, as of December 17, and will start operating a new route from Addis Ababa to Dublin via Madrid, as of December 15.

The airline’s new route to LA will be serviced by a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, operating every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday. The route will be the only and first of its kind to connect West Africa with the USA’s West Coast with a direct flight.

The flight schedule to Los Angeles via Togo is as follows:

Flight ET0504 will depart Addis Ababa at 08h20 and arrive in Lome at 11h20. It will then depart Lome at 12h25, arriving in Los Angeles at 19h35. Flight ET0505 will depart Los Angeles at 21h35 and arrive in Lome at 19h35. It will then depart Lome at 20h50, arriving in Addis Ababa at 05h40.

Ethiopian Airlines’ new route to Dublin via Madrid will be operated by a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, with the flight schedule as follows:

Flight ET0712 will depart Addis Ababa at 23h50 and arrive in Madrid at 05h20. It will then depart Madrid at 06h20, arriving in Dublin at 08h00 every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Flight ET0713 will depart Dublin at 06h45 and arrive in Madrid at 20h30. It will then depart Madrid at 21h30, arriving in Addis Ababa at 07h00 every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.
