Countries fight back!

Coronavirus

The countries do not hesitate and strenghten their forces to fight with the virus.

The government of Finland announced that is is extending most of its COVID-19 restrictions, such as the ban on public meetings of more than 10 people, and the closure of public services such as libraries and schools for most students, by one month to May 13.

Those constraints were imposed to contain the spread of COVID-19 virus. The authorities had also decided to close all restaurants until the end of May.

It was also announced that Finland is swiftly progressing in their research of quick test for COVID-19 helping with identifying the deadly virus. Over 2,000 employees, including a large number of scientists and researchers, are working to make it available as soon as possible.

Israeli government also issued orders making the wearing of masks in public compulsory. Last week, the PM urged Israelis to wear masks while in public. Now, the officials said this measure will become compulsory as of Sunday. Children under the age of six, the mentally disabled or those alone in vehicles or workplaces are exempted. Masks could be homemade.

Israel has more than 9,000 confirmed cases of the coronavirus, with sixty people having died.

However, not all heads of states give such clear orders.

Mayors from all Hawaii counties urged Hawaii Governor Ige to ask President Trump to close Hawaii airports for tourist arrivals. More and more tourists are arriving in the state every day.

Governor Ige told during a press conference that he checked with Federal Authorities. They do not entertain a request to shut down flights, unless there is an aviation related issue.

Federal authorities told the Governor, he will have jurisdictions over arriving passengers when they step into the airport. Ige said, he was consulting locally to require visitors to be quarantined at approved hotels only.
